Go with you gut

I got some of the best writing advice today.  It isn't new advice and it isn't earth shattering, but for me it was the source that made it so important.

So there I was in the middle of a five mile walk with my wife (no I'm not bragging.  Okay maybe a little) when I asked her a question about my new book.  I was a little unsure of an aspect of it and how to make it work.  My wife, the always supportive and extremely intelligent woman that she is, said: "I have the same advice for you and your character.  Go with your gut."  She continued on to say that with any big decision you make, speaking to me and my character once again, it's a leap of faith.  Without that leap of faith nothing happens.

So, Honey, I just wanted to let you know that I am taking that leap of faith and so is my character. I know it's going to work out fine for my character.  It'll take some time before I see how it works out for me, but let me put it this way, every time I have taken my wife's advice in the past it has worked out just fine.  I don't expect it to be any different now.

Keep watching this space for more updates.
